Three Pointers
By Hoya HoopsThe 2008-09 Georgetown Basketball season officially gets underway this Monday, as the Hoyas take on the Jacksonville Dolphins at Verizon Center. This means its time to start a new season of Pregame Predictions. We at Hoya Hoops have decided to up the ante this year. The person with the most correct Pregame Predictions at the end of the season gets an official HoyaHoops.com t-shirt. Details on that to follow throughout the season.
Now, onto the season opener. We have talked a great deal about the new three-point line. We thought that this would be an appropriate question.
How many threes will the Hoyas make, and who will lead the team?
Last year, the Hoyas put up 87 points against the Dolphins, and while we don’t think the Hoyas will reach that high of a score, we do expect the team to come out of the gate ready to prove that despite losing four seniors the Hoyas are for real. So, we will say the Hoyas will hit ten from downtown, with Jessie Sapp leading the way. Tell us your predictions in the comments, and take an early lead in the t-shirt race!
