DaJuan wins BE Player of the Week
By Hoya Hoops- The new rankings were released yesterday afternoon, and after the Hoyas’ overtime win against Memphis, Georgetown moved up to #15 in the AP Poll and #13 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll. In both polls, there were eight Big East teams in the Top 25 for another week, and in the ESPN Poll, 7 of the top 15 teams were from the country’s toughest conference.
- DaJuan Summers was named Big East Player of the Week for his role in the Hoyas’ wins against Savannah State and Memphis. West Virginia’s Devin Ebanks took home the Rookie of the Week honors.
- Syracuse lost their first game of the season last night, falling to Cleveland State 72-69 on a 60-foot buzzer beater in the Carrier Dome.
