Below Average

By Hoya Hoops

For the Big East opener, we asked you how many points Greg Monroe would score. He ended with 16 points, 12 more than Hasheem Thabeet. That means that Let’s Go Hoyas gets his second win of the year for being exactly right.

In the Connecticut game, the Georgetown defense held the Huskies to 63 points, almost 20 points below their season average of 82.7 points per game. We wonder if the Hoyas can replicate that performance against Pittsburgh.

How many points will the Hoyas allow against Pittsburgh?

The Panthers are averaging 77.9 points a game. We think the Hoyas will hold them to 21 points below their average, meaning that Pitt will score 57. Put your guesses in the comments.

    Pitt 63 points

Pitt scores 61 and loses by 9.

Hopefully Jay is from Northern Virginia, not VillaNOVA. Anyway, I’ll go with 52 points in a 6-point loss.

  4. Let's Go Hoyas Says:

This stretch of seven games is huge for us. We have already beaten the number 2 seed. Georgetown will pull this one out but Pitt will put up 70pts against us. Sapp will secure the game for us.

  5. DJ Says:

they’ll get to 59, but ti wont be enough
