Hoyas and Top Three Lose

The Georgetown Hoyas lost to the Marquette Golden Eagles 78-72 at home on Saturday. With that loss, the Hoyas drop to 5-9 in the conference and are in big trouble. They are in desperate need for a win, again, when they face the Louisville Cardinals tonight at 7:00.
The top three ranked teams all lost a game this past week, starting with #1 Connecticut losing to #4 Pittsburgh last Monday. On Saturday, Texas upset #2 Oklahoma 73-68, and Maryland defeated #3 North Carolina in overtime 88-85.
Dikembe Mutombo saw some action on the court this weekend, marking his first appearance in two weeks and only his fourth since re-signing with the Rockets in January. He played for four minutes and picked up a rebound and a block.
