Jonathan Wallace was drafted by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the 2009 NBA Developmental League Draft last night. He was picked 5th in the 2nd round, and will be playing in Hidalgo, Texas with the Houston Rockets’ D-League affiliates.

Currently, Wallace is one of 17 players on the Vipers’ training camp roster which will eventually be reduced to 10 men before the season gets underway.

With back-to-back Big East Regular Season Titles, a Big East Tournament Championship, NCAA East Regional Championship, Final Four Appearance, and German Basketball Bundesliga Championship under his belt, JWall has got quite a history of winning. Let’s see if he can use that to earn his way onto the final roster in Hidalgo and maybe impress some people in the League.
