Points Needed

By Hoya Hoops

The Hoyas secured their first road conference win over the weekend, handily defeating DePaul 67-50. The Blue Demons entered that game shooting 54% from the free throw line on the season, and we asked you how the teams would fare from the stripe. The Hoyas won the free throw battle, barely, hitting 61% of their foul shots versus the Blue Demons’ 57%. Bob in Columbia said the Hoyas would shoot 67%, which was the closest guess. Good job guessing, but not such a good job from the free throw line from the Hoyas.

The Hoyas now take on the Golden Eagles of Marquette Wednesday. Marquette is 0-2 in conference play, but both those losses have come in the final minute of action. We wonder how close the Georgetown game will be.

How many points will the Hoyas need to win the game?

By this we mean the smallest number that win still be higher than Marquette’s final score. We think if the Hoyas score 66 points, they will win. In other words, we think Marquette will only score 65. Understand? We hope so. Post your guesses below.
