Leading the Team

By Hoya Hoops

In the last pregame Predictions, we asked you to guess how many points the “Big Three” would have against Connecticut. The Hoyas beat the Huskies in dramatic style, riding a career-high 33 points from Austin Freeman for a 72-69 win. Greg Monroe had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Chris Wright added 14 points of his own, meaning the three combined for 62 points. That means this week’s winner is…Hoya Hoops! We guessed 55 points, and all of your guesses were lower. Better luck next time!

Speaking of next time, the Hoyas face off against the Seton Hall Pirates Thursday evening at Verizon Center. The Hall will be led by junior guard Jeremy Hazell, who is averaging 23.3 points a game. Georgetown’s leading scorer has changed throughout the season, with Austin Freeman currently on top, averaging 15.4 points per contest.

Who will lead the Hoyas in scoring, and with how many points?

Freeman has been carrying the team the past few games, so we think it’s time someone gives him a break. We think Chris Wright will answer the call with 18 points.

Post your guesses in the comments, and see if you can prevent Hoya Hoops from winning two straight.
