Running with the Bulls

By Hoya Hoops

At the beginning of the season, we announced that the winner of the most Pregame Predictions would win some sort of prize. Last year, we gave out a Hoya Hoops t-shirt, and odds are that’s what we’ll do again this year because we’re just that creative.

Like last season, we’re going to keep the Pregame Predictions going through the postseason, but now that it’s tournament time, each game is going to be worth double. But before we give you the leader board, we have to announce the winner from the last game of the regular season.

Before the senior-less senior day game against Cincinnati, we asked everyone how many points the sophomore would score. DBeck nailed that when with his guess of 30 points, which is exactly how many points Greg Monroe and Jason Clark raked in (Sims was scoreless). So congratulations DBeck on your 2nd win of the season.

As promised, here’s the rundown of how many Pregame Predictions everyone’s won this season.

Winner # of Wins
Zo 6
Bob from Columbia 5
Bobby in Tennessee 3
Emily 3
DBeck 2
Hoyasincebirth 2
Hoya Hoops 2
Julien from France 2
Let’s Go Hoyas 2
Missy 1

And now on to tomorrow’s game. When the Hoyas last faced South Florida, Dominique Jones had 29 points for the Bulls, leading all scorers. If Georgetown wants to avoid having the same result, they’re going to need to figure out a way to contain the conference’s 2nd leading scorer.

How many points will Dominique Jones score?

Yep, that’s the same question we asked last time these teams met, but hopefully the correct answer will be closer to 0 than 40.

We’re going to say he scores 20 points, still a lot of points, but a little less than his average (21.3). What do you think?

Comments

  1. Bobby in Tennessee Says:

14 points. I’m hoping it’s not the Dominique Jones show….and no…I don’t want to come out and see Dominique Jones play. We are…Georgetown. Ok, so I’m wearing my gray out Hoyas t-shirt from the Duke game to bed tonight. That’s gotta bring the Hoyas some good luck.

  2. Julien from France Says:

    23 points

  3. Bob from Columbia Says:

    32. We didn’t have a way to stop him last time. If we try too hard we’ll have 4 players foul out and lose. I say concenrate on rebounds, don’t make it easy for Dominique but stop the rest of the team. The Bulls will not give up easily knowing they beat us handily at home already. I say 32 for Jones including around 12 from the free throw line.

  4. Zo Says:

17 points, 17 Field Goal Attempts.

  5. Emily Says:

I think he will have 22 points this afternoon.
