Points for Preseason Player of the Year

With the Georgetown season about to tip off this Friday at Old Dominion, it’s time to bring back everyone’s favorite guessing game, Pregame Predictions. For those of you new to the site, here’s the deal. We ask a different question before every game, and the person who comes closest to the right answer gets a point. At the end of the season, the person with the most points wins a HoyaHoops.com t-shirt!

Last season, Austin Freeman was Georgetown’s leading scorer, averaging 16.5 points per game. This year, he is the Big East Preseason Player of the Year and a senior leader to the incoming class of freshman. He will no doubt be a big part of Georgetown’s success this year, and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the first game of his last season on the Hilltop.

How many points will Austin Freeman score?

    2 points the first game of his college career, 7 the first game as a sophomore, 16 first game as a junior… increase of 5, then of 9, this will be increase of 13… carry the 1….

    Austin scores a workman’s 21. How I would love to see a complete takeover of the game like that glorious UCONN second half last year on National TV. Ah, the memory …Having lost twice in a row to Old Dominion with Greg Monroe and at McDonough, I’m not so sure we will win this one. Hopefully, our freshmen can step it up after Julian and Henry foul out in the first half. Playing Old Dominion reminds me of Charlie Brown trying to kick the football which Lucy always swipes away at the last second. What a tease. At least they made the NCAA Tournament last year. GO HOYAS crush OD!!
