The Georgetown Hoyas won over the weekend, beating the Jacksonville Dolphins 87-55. Austin Freeman had 15 points and DaJuan Summers and Chris Wright each added 14 to give the Hoyas their seventh straight win to start the season.

The Maryland Terrapins lost their ACC season-opener to Boston College, 81-78. Greivis Vasquez was called for a foul with 10:30 left in the game, but then compounded his mistake by being whistled for a technical, and fouled out of the game.

Allen Iverson had a great week with the Nuggets, as he averaged 36.3 points, 10 assists, and 2.7 steals over the course of three games, shooting right around 60% from the field. The day after putting up 51 against the Lakers, he had an MVP-caliber performance, racking up 35 points, 12 assists, and 6 steals against the Dallas Mavericks. It would seem that Allen is a lock for this week's NBA Player of the Week from the Western Conference.

Nat Burton also had an amazing week in the CBA as his Albany Patroons won three straight. On Wednesday, he scored 29 points on 9 of 11 shooting against the Atlanta Krunk, and then on Friday, he notched up 27 more, shooting 11 for 12 from the field against the East Kentucky Miners.
