After Georgetown’s 14 point victory over the Connecticut Huskies, we thought it would be a good time to remember a video we made for Rival Reels a few years back. We hope you enjoy the PSB Original video, Hoyasax.
Midnight Madness was on Friday night, and for those of you missed it, here’s a recap of what went down at McDonough:

And Craig Stouffer of the Washington Examiner had this to say:
Hoyas have fighting chance
Patrick Ewing, Jr.‘s NBA jersey will be put up on the back wall at McDonough after earning his first NBA action in late March.
And the GeorgetownHoops YouTube channel posted this video hinting that several Hoya Legends will be present on campus tonight:
So we’ve been slacking off a bit in the off-season, and we haven’t posted any updates in a while. But we didn’t miss much. It’s not like the Hoyas made international headlines for a brawl with China; we didn’t miss two longtime Big East rivals deciding to breakup the best basketball conference in the country over football; it’s not as if there was an NBA lockout and Roy Hibbert took the time off to appear on Parks and Recreation.
But with Midnight Madness starting up the new Georgetown Basketball season on Friday, we decided it’s time to start posting more regularly.
And what better way to get back in the swing of things than by looking at recent Georgetown graduate Austin Freeman and his time in Italy’s Legadue?
Austin did not get selected in the 2011 NBA Draft, and he found himself playing in Italy’s second division for Fulgor Libertas Forlì. Earlier this month, Austin put together an incredible performance, going 10-18 from the field, 5-9 from three, and 13-13 from the stripe.
Check out this video of all of Austin’s 38 points:
Georgetown’s Men’s Basketball Team head out tomorrow for a two week trip to China filled with basketball and community service.
GUHoyas.com has done a great job building up anticipation around the trip, and here’s a roundup of all of the China news to get you ready for tomorrow:

After the press conferences this afternoon, the Hoyas had an open practice at the United Center, and a Chicago-based Hoya Hoops reader was there to keep an eye on Chris Wright and even shoot a short video.
Here’s what he had to say about #4:
I attended the Hoyas open practice today, and kept a close eye on Chris Wright. He looked good. He did not seem to be hindered by the hand at all. His shooting was uneven (maybe 60-70%), but he had a few spells where he made a number of shots in a row.
The Hoyas won their eight straight game, defeating Marquette 69-60 on Sunday afternoon. HoyaHoops.com’s Tony Limarzi was there at the Verizon Center to provide the Georgetown Breakdown.
Chris Wright scored 24 points and led the Hoyas to victory last night against Louisville. He also got himself on SportsCenter, coming in as the #2 play of the day:
And Chris was a little surprised himself that he beat out DeAndre Jordan, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, and Blake Griffin.
Merry Christmas everybody!
Last year we shared some old footage of Kevin Braswell, Mike Sweetney, and company singing Christmas songs. This year, we have something a little different.
It’s Indiana Pacers fans singing Christmas songs about Roy Hibbert. Here’s the link: Happy Holidays from Area 55.
And if you really can’t live without it, here’s the classic Jingle Bells from 2001:
Merry Christmas everybody! In honor of the occasion, we’re providing you with some more footage of the 2001-02 Hoyas doing some Christmas caroling. It’s our present to you.
We already showed you the guys singing “Jingle Bells,” so here are “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Silent Night.” Enjoy!
