The Hoyas lost their second home game of the season and fell to 3-3 in conference play, losing to West Virginia 75-58. Georgetown looked lethargic for extended stretches and never got into a rhythm offensively. They went into the break down five.
The Hoyas made a run to cut the lead to two, but on three straight possessions they came up empty. The Mountaineers were led by Da’Sean Butler, who had a game high 27 points. Chris Wright led the Hoyas with 13 points, but the team as a whole were only 39% from the field and a miserable 13% from beyond the arc.
Georgetown look to end their two game losing streak against the Pirates of Seton Hall. The two square off this Sunday at 2:00 PM.
