The Georgetown Hoyas won their second game of the season, defeating the Drexel Dragons 81-53.
Drexel scored the first points of the game to lead 2-0, but that was as good as it got for the Dragons. The Hoyas went on a 15-0 run to open a 13 point lead. Greg Monroe and Austin Freeman combined for 22 first half points as the Hoyas led by 23 going into the intermission. Georgetown shot an impressive 61.5% from the field in the first half.
In the second half, Georgetown continued their sharp execution, eventually leading by 32 with 9 minutes left to play. Monroe finished the game with a game high 20 points to go with his 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Georgetown will try to make it 3-0 on Thanksgiving Day as they take on the Wichita State Shockers in their first game of the Old Spice Classic in Walt Disney World.
