Hey everybody, Johnny here courtside at Verizon Center for the New Year’s Eve latenight showdown between the Georgetown Hoyas and the St. John’s Red Storm. Jack the Bulldog and his handler are wearing matching tuxedos, and I’m sure we’re going to be seeing a whole bunch of fans in New Year’s attire as well.
This is the Big East opener for both teams, and after two embarrassing defeats to the Red Storm at the end of last season, the Hoyas should have enough motivation to play their best tonight.
Tonight’s refs are going to be Jim Burr, Jeffrey Clark, and Bob Donato. And here are the starting lineups for you:
For the Hoyas, it’s the usual five: Wright, Clark, Freeman, Vaughn, and Monroe
For the Ref Storm, it’s going to be: D.J. Kennedy, Malik Boothe, Sean Evans, Dele Coker, and Paris Horne.
