One Shining Moment

By Hoya Hoops

Well, the 2008 NCAA Tournament is finally over. It didn’t end the way that many Georgetown fans would have liked, but as it is in sports, there’s always next year. In the championship game, some poor free throw shooting from Memphis set the stage for Mario Chalmers’ game-tying, overtime-forcing three pointer, which made highlight reels around the country. So now that the tournament is done with, we decided to pose this question:

What was your favorite moment from this year’s NCAA Tournament?

We’d probably go with West Virginia beating Duke. The Hoyas didn’t get to play the Blue Devils this year, but it was nice to have another Big East team take them down on Georgetown’s home court.

What do you think?

I liked seeing Uconn lose in the first round. I would have felt pretty gross if they had won after continually taking it to the guy who had gotten injured for San Diego and was limping around on defense.

I think WKU beat Drake on a 3PTR at the buzzer in round one. If I have the teams wrong, I know it was a 3 at the buzzer. Whoever that team was…that’s my shining moment, even if the details are a little fuzzy.
