The Big East has come out with the conference matchups for the upcoming season. The Hoyas will play an 18-game conference schedule, which means Georgetown will play three Big East foes twice during the regular season. This year, the Hoyas will play home-and-home series with Marquette, Providence, and St. John’s.
In addition to those three home games, Georgetown will also play host to Cincinnati, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Rutgers, South Florida, and Villanova. Rounding out the schedule, the Hoyas will play DePaul, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Syracuse, and West Virginia on the road.

Former assistant coach Kevin Broadus has returned to the Georgetown basketball program. Due to NCAA regulations, the Hoyas can only have four coaches, so Broadus will be serving as special assistant to Coach John Thompson III and will not be allowed to recruit players.
Broadus was on the Georgetown coaching staff from 2004 to 2007, and after Georgetown’s Final Four run, he was hired as head coach of Binghamton University. He coached the Bearcats to their first ever NCAA tournament berth, but resigned in 2010 after a one-year leave caused by possible NCAA infractions, although after an investigation no major violations were found.
