The Georgetown Hoyas overpowered the Savannah State Tigers with 4 players in double figures on their way to a 63-45 victory. The Hoyas trailed 7-0 to start the game but then went on a 14-1 run to remove all of the drama from the result. Georgetown entered the break with a 14 point lead, and the Tigers were unable to cut into the lead in the second half.
Jason Clark went 4-5 from beyond the three-point arc in the first half and finished the game with 14 points to lead all scorers. Greg Monroe added 13 points and seven rebounds, and freshman Vee Sanford scored his first basket for the Hoyas, who are now 3-0 to start the season, including 2-0 on the road.
The Hoyas will be off next week for the Thanksgiving Holiday, returning to action at Verizon Center next Saturday when they host Lafayette at 12 PM.
