William and Mary In-Game Thread
By JohnnyHey everybody,
Johnny here at the Verizon center and we’re just about 5 minutes from the starting line-ups and National Anthem before the first game of the 2007-2008 season.
The students are up and ready to go, and the Hoyas just came back from the locker room and one last preseason pep talk.
Some pregame notes:
- The new jumbotron at the Verizon Center is amazing. I was here last night for the Wizards vs Nuggets debacle, and I got to check it out for the first time. Very large, very sharp picture, very impressive. And now it has space for the players’ names instead of just numbers with the in-game stats.
- Speaking of the jumbotron, they have the old logo for William and Mary up there, but I don’t know if anyone’s going to mind.
- The Hoyas look like they have new warmups this year with a little extra white in there. The first set had white and blue running down the sides, and now their second set has all white sleeves
And here are your starting lineups:
Hoyas: 2 Wallace, 3 Summers, 21 Sapp, 33 Ewing, Jr., 55 Hibbert
Tribe: 2 Schneider, 11 Mann, 13 Kiselius, 15 Stein, 23 Darnell
Post your in-game thoughts in the comments:

Crowd’s pretty into it early on. Hoyas lost the tip, and 20 seconds into their season, they’re losing 2-0.
But after a block by Hibbert and a 3 by Summers, crowd is very excited to see the Hoyas on the board.
