- All four of the incoming freshmen who had previously given verbal commitments to attend Georgetown signed their letters of intent. Headlining the class is Greg Monroe, and he will be joined by Henry Sims, Chris Braswell and Jason Clark.
- 4 teams in the AP Top 25 were defeated over the weekend: #18 Arkansas lost to Providence on Friday, the following night #17 Arizona and #20 Stanford suffered defeats to Virginia and Siena, respectively, and New Orleans knocked off #21 North Carolina State last night.
