By Hoya HoopsIt’s finally here – the season officially tips off this Friday at Tulane. And that means it’s time for our Pregame Predictions to start up again too.
You know how it works – we ask a question about the upcoming game, you post your guesses in the comments, closest answer wins. Wins what exactly? We haven’t decided yet. Last year, the reader with the most correct predictions throughout the year – Let’s Go Hoyas! – won a Hoya Hoops t-shirt. We may do the same this year, but we’re open to suggestions and will announce the actual prize down the road.
Now, for this week’s question.
Greg Monroe grew up in Harvey, Louisiana, a city just across the Mississippi River from Tulane. Since the Hoyas are playing a mere 20-minute drive from Greg’s hometown, we thought that it would be appropriate to center the season’s first Pregame Predictions around the Big Fella from the Big Easy.
How many points will Greg score against Tulane and how many rebounds will he have?
We’re going to say he’ll start the season with a solid performance in front of family and friends. He’ll have 13 points and 8 boards.
