Hello, everybody, Mike here. We are about half an hour away from tip-off. Rebounding will be key tonight, let’s see if the Hoyas can improve upon their recent woes and do a good job on the boards.
Keep it here for commentary during the game.

January 8th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Wallace, Sapp, Freeman, Summers and Hibbert the 5 starters for the Hoyas
January 8th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
Hoyas give up two offensive rebounds on the first possesion, but don’t give up any points, and then score on the other end, Hoyas 2-0.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
Nice Roy
January 8th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Palming violation on Sapp, Hoyas still up 6-0.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:11 pm

January 8th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
Thais what we want to see from big Roy
January 8th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
3 by Wallace forces DePaul to call time out. Hoyas lead 11-0 with 16:03 left in the first.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Another timeout. Always seems to work out that way
January 8th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Foul on Summers, his first, team’s first leads to 16 minute timeout. Still 11-0 for Georgetown, now 15:45 remaining.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
thats what i like to see hoyas, keep it up, blow em out!!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
theres no travel there, horrible call
January 8th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
nice answer by sapp!!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:19 pm
All five starters for the Hoyas have scored now, as Freeman’s three pushes the lead to 17-5.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Ewing and Rivers in for Summers and Sapp.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
come on hoyas no let up, take care of the ball
January 8th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
slow it down hoyas, dont rush things
January 8th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Foul on Rivers, his first, team’s second. 10:39 left in the half, Hoyas with a 21-9 lead.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
missed ft, maybe they are worse than us from the line
January 8th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
horrible turnover by rivers, need to do better if you wanna be a point guard in big east
January 8th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
are you kidding me???? two palming violations in first 12 minutes??? you better call one on them now refs
January 8th, 2008 at 9:31 pm
Hibbert’s hook shot gives the Hoyas their biggest lead of 14.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:31 pm
alaBAM!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
After the first possesion, the Hoyas have done a pretty goog job of rebounding. They are missing badly on some, so we can’t prevent all the offensive rebounding. But, if we keep playing like this, we’ll be in good shape.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
6:48 left in the first, Georgetown ball on the alternate possession. The lead is 17, 28-11, the largest lead for the Hoyas.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Happened again. Two timeouts back to back.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
these ESPNU commentators can’t get enough of us.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:37 pm

January 8th, 2008 at 9:37 pm

January 8th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
Seventh team foul on the Hoyas and the third on Rivers. Puts Walker on the line for 1-1.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
hahaha nice block roy! almost still on its way up!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
its annoying though, it looked like it was gonna be short
January 8th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
We got a little lucky there…
January 8th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
Georgetown calls timeout, 35-20 Hoyas, 3:28 left in the half. Emily, that timeout was for you, so we can get another whistle and the 4 minute official timeout.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:43 pm
And again
January 8th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
nice boys, keep making the fts!!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:47 pm
give and go’s are killing em, i love ti!!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:50 pm
oh no, not a good way to end the half
January 8th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Turnover by Ewing, then a foul on Ewing, and then a Techincal on Ewing. Looks as though Ewing throws the ball at Walker after the foul.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
Not an ideal way to end the half for the Hoyas, but Georgetown still ahead by 21, 46-25. A nice tip-in by Crawford giving the Hoyas a nice boost going into the half.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
I love Tyler Crawford
January 8th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
nice play by crawford, good awareness. no let up in the second half!!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
talk about efficiency. Crawford’s in for 5 seconds and gets an offensive rebound and a bucket
And they could’ve gotten a tech at the end of the half too for kicking the ball after it went in
January 8th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Second half underway, DePaul’s ball, they miss, and the Hoyas come back the other way with a basket for Hibbert.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
roy roy roy roy roy roy roy roy roy roy!!!!!
January 8th, 2008 at 10:13 pm

January 8th, 2008 at 10:14 pm

January 8th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
15:42 left in the game, DePaul shooting one free throw, the Hoyas still ahead of 20.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:19 pm
thats garbage,
January 8th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
nice take, jessie
January 8th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
There hasn’t been one handcheck all game and they call one for Roy’s 3rd
January 8th, 2008 at 10:24 pm
come on hoyas, take care of the ball! turnovers are killing me
January 8th, 2008 at 10:24 pm
how is he shooting on that?
January 8th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
12 minute timeout, Hoyas up by 19, but DePaul shooting free throws.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:26 pm
The Hoyas have gotten a little sloppy. A 20 point lead will do that. But, there’s still no excuse for letting them get 3 or 4 offensive rebounds on the same play. Let’s pick it up.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:29 pm
nice hustle by pat, bad call but you have to take advantage of it, nice work
January 8th, 2008 at 10:34 pm
Steal by Rivers, missed layup by Freeman but follow dunk by Ewing to put the Hoyas up 67-40, and Coach Wainwright calls a timeout that will be stretched to a full.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:36 pm
nice take roy!
January 8th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
refocus boys!
January 8th, 2008 at 10:43 pm
After a bit of sloppy play, the Hoyas call timeout, the lead is still 19.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
nice move summers
January 8th, 2008 at 10:47 pm
Hoyas lead 74-53 with 3:30 remaining. The Hoyas are looking good in this one.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:49 pm
close em out hoyas
January 8th, 2008 at 10:50 pm
dont bail him out like that
January 8th, 2008 at 10:51 pm
Nice game Hoyas. I’m gonna watch the end, but I’m signing off. Let’s keep up the good work against UCONN.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:53 pm

January 8th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
The Hoyas are victorious, 76-60, with the game not as close as the score implies. Next up for Georgetown: the UCONN Huskies. See you at Verizon Center.
January 8th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
nice win boys!
