- After averaging 10.5 points and 4.7 rebounds a game, Jeff Green was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Jeff is the first Hoya to make the team since Allen Iverson in 1996-97.
- This past weekend, former Georgetown Captain Tom Scates passed away from a heart attack. Graduating in 1979, Scates was one of Coach John Thompson Jr.’s first big men, and he graduated as the best shot blocker in team history.
