First Field Goal
By Hoya HoopsThe Hoyas came up just short of pulling off a big upset, losing to Syracuse in overtime 64-61. With Henry Sims and Jason Clark both experiencing foul trouble, the Georgetown bench had to step up, and they did, scoring 23 points, led by Otto Porter’s 14. Before the game, we asked you to predict how many points the Hoya reserves would score. And with her guess of 24, amanda cox was the closest. Congratulations!
The Hoyas next opponent is St. John’s, one of three Big East teams that the Hoyas will play twice during the conference season. Georgetown won the first contest at Madison Square Garden 69-49. Before the last meeting, we had a request for a particular Pregame Predictions question. Since we didn’t ask it last time, we will use bobby cox’s question for this game.
When will Georgetown score its first field goal of the game?
We are guessing that the Hoyas will score on their first possession, and we will say that the shot will go in at the 19:37 mark of the first half. Let us know how long you think it will take the Hoyas to score by posting your guesses in the comments.
