Georgetown:
Georgetown had a difficult task posed towards them. They had to go down in the middle of the Big East season and take on a perennial powerhouse on their home court. The Hoyas responded well, even after falling behind by 15 points early in the second half. However, Greg Monroe was hampered by foul trouble which limited his minutes, and as a result the Georgetown offense was not as fluid. In the end, the Hoyas could not get over the hump.
