The Georgetown Hoyas lost their final non-conference game of the season, falling to the Duke Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium 76-67. DaJuan Summers led the Hoyas with 21 points, but the Hoyas played most of the game without their leader Greg Monroe. Monroe picked up three fouls in the first half, all on the offensive end. Then in the second half he was whistled for a technical foul while he was seated on the bench. Monroe finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in his 28 minutes of action. Duke took advantage when Monroe was on the bench, closing out the first half on an 11-0 run. Henderson scored 17 points in the first half, and Duke led 40-29.

Georgetown started the second half with an unusual line-up, inserting Omar Wattad and Jason Clark in the places of Jessie Sapp and Chris Wright. The Hoyas used scoring surges throughout the second half to cut into the Blue Devil lead, but Duke made key shots when they needed them most and were able to keep the Hoyas out of reach. Duke shot 48% from the field to the Hoyas 51%, but the Blue Devils were able to convert on their free throws down the line, while Georgetown struggled from the stripe, making only 10 of 18 attempts.

Georgetown returns to Verizon Center on Thursday night to take on West Virginia at 7:30. The Hoyas have won two in a row in conference play.
