Exam Day 5: Chemistry

By Hoya Hoops

CHEM-518 Team Chemistry

There are few intangibles in basketball more important than chemistry. College basketball is one of the few sports left in which teamwork and togetherness can consistently defeat talent and explosiveness. With that in mind, try and determine the following pairs of Georgetown teammates in our final exam of the semester. All of the following pairs played together at Georgetown for at least three seasons.

1) What two backcourt mates from the same high school in Washington DC arrived at Georgetown as role players and went on to lead the team to a Big East Championship and Elite Eight appearance as seniors?

2) Name the two future NBA teammates who were both among the Big East elite during their days at Georgetown, and both graduated from Georgetown as the third all-time leading scorer in school history.

3) Which two future NBA All-Stars combined to form the greatest shot-blocking tandem in Georgetown Basketball and Big East history?

4) What guards were major contributors as freshmen, won two Big East Tournament titles, combined to score over 31 points per game as seniors, and averaged 25.5 wins per season during their illustrious careers?

5) Who were the high school teammates from California who as seniors, in their first NCAA tournament, helped lead the Hoyas to the Sweet Sixteen?

And remember, email your responses to us at .
We’ll announce the answers and the winner of the Tombs gift certificate next week.

Here are all the old exams:History, Geography, Mathematics, and Art History.

I’m sorry to see this end– these questions were a lot tougher than the multiple choice ones at the Verizon Center.

Hopefully you’ll see me at the Tombs eating for free sometime soon.
