Memphis In-Game Thread
By JohnnyHey, this is Johnny. We’re about 45 minutes away from the biggest game of the pre-Big East schedule for the Hoyas, as Georgetown is set to take on Memphis at the FedEx Forum, home of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Georgetown and Memphis have some history, but ever since that first matchup in the 1983 NCAA Tournament, it looks like the Hoyas have had the Tigers’ number. Let’s see if they can keep that going this afternoon.
As usual, keep your in-game thoughts coming in the comments.

December 22nd, 2007 at 12:15 pm
Rivers puts up an off the dribble 15 footer to tie the game at 7, and then Memphis needs a timeout to inbound the ball (despite no press from the Hoyas)
December 22nd, 2007 at 12:16 pm
Let’s keep up the rebounding Hoyas.
December 22nd, 2007 at 12:16 pm
Memphis has to call a timeout since no player was there to take the inbound pass after the basket by Rivers. Game tied at 7, 14:17 left in the first.
December 22nd, 2007 at 12:17 pm

No such luck DJ, Hoyas up 3, 14-11, with 11:07 left in the first, Macklin will be shooting free throws on the other side of the official timeout.

Foul on Hibbert, his first, team second, Hoyas lead 24-17, at the timeout 7:46 left in the half.
December 22nd, 2007 at 12:31 pm
i think the foul was on the floor, so we’ll live with it, memphis already has their big guy in foul trouble
December 22nd, 2007 at 12:33 pm
The Hoyas need to start making these transition layups. When we miss it allows them to run, and it takes points away from us. Have to do better.
December 22nd, 2007 at 12:33 pm
That was a quick 5 second call
December 22nd, 2007 at 12:34 pm

December 22nd, 2007 at 1:11 pm

December 22nd, 2007 at 1:25 pm
Hard foul by Anderson on Summers as he was going to get an easy bucket
December 22nd, 2007 at 1:26 pm
free throws and missed layups are killing me
December 22nd, 2007 at 1:28 pm
we are in huge trouble now
December 22nd, 2007 at 1:28 pm
