Sophomore Day

By Hoya Hoops

Before the West Virginia game, we asked which Hoya would step up in Austin Freeman’s absence. Greg Monroe led the Hoyas with 22 points in a losing effort in Morgantown. Bobby in Tennessee was one point off with his guess of 21, so he wins. Hopefully the Hoyas will do the same this Saturday.

It’s Senior Day at Verizon Center this Saturday as the Hoyas close out the Big East season against Cincinnati. However, the Hoyas don’t have any seniors on the team. And with the recent development that junior Austin Freeman has developed diabetes and is questionable on Saturday, we will instead ask about the sophomores.

How many points will the sophomores score, and who will lead them?

With Austin questionable, we think Henry Sims will get extra minutes, and the two starting sophomores will step up their games. We’ll go with 40 points, led by Jason Clark.

Tell us how you think the sophomores will do on Senior Day.

Comments

  1. Bobby in Tennessee Says:

27 points led by Greg Monroe

  2. Zo Says:

Who are the sophomores? Clark, Simms, Monroe? With those three I’ll go with 36 – Monroe 24, Clark 12, Simms 0.

  3. Emily Says:

I’ll say that they will have 32 points, led by Monroe.

  4. DBeck Says:

30 in total, 22 for Monroe

  5. Julien from France Says:

    34 points, led by Monroe

  6. Bob from Columbia Says:

28 led by Monroe (16),Clark (12), and “6never get to play more than a couple minutes except for the pushover teams like Syracuse or West Va.” Big Henry Sims (0). How I would love for Sims to score 25 plus on thunder-dunks and tip-ins – hard to do on 1 minute of sporadic defensive rotations. GO HOYAS .
