Georgetown:
No one shot the ball well from distance, as the Hoyas finished the game 3-20 from beyond the arc. Georgetown was also sloppy on the defensive end, getting badly outrebounded and giving up a number of easy baskets and uncontested threes. They will have to work to clean that up before facing the Notre Dame tandem of big man Luke Harangody and shooter Kyle McAlarney.

The Defense Rested
By TonyThere are no good losses. Period. There is no way that the Pittsburgh game will help the Hoyas down the road. It might not matter down the road, but it won’t help. Here’s another thing that won’t help - shooting 3 for 20 from three-point range.

Vernon Desire
By TonyI don’t think it can be considered a bright spot, since there is no brightness after a loss, but Vernon Macklin played very well against Pittsburgh. He won’t go 5 for 5 every game from here on out, but for a guy who had been struggling to score lately, he looked like he was playing with confidence.
