The Georgetown Hoyas managed only 20 points in the second half and fell on the road to the Louisville Cardinals 59-51. Georgetown led by eight at the break but couldn’t find the range in the second half, shooting only 35% from the field.

Johnny here. There’s still over a half hour before the big matchup between Georgetown and Louisville, but they have been talking about this game all day on ESPN, and fans have been at Freedom Hall for College GameDay since early this afternoon.
It’s gonna be a battle of defenses as these two teams keep their opponents to under 60 points a game. We’ll have to see how the Hoyas’ offense will fare against one of the best D’s of the Big East.
I’ll keep you informed throughout the game; keep your thoughts coming in the comments.

For the game this past Tuesday, we asked our readers to guess the number of turnovers Georgetown would have. The Hoyas committed 12 turnovers against South Florida, so both Hoya Gray and Emily were the closest, with guesses of 11 and 13, respectively. Fortunately for Emily, this is not the Price is Right.
In that game, DaJuan Summers started off the game scoring the Hoyas’ first 11 points. For Georgetown’s upcoming game against Louisville, we thought of this question:
Who will score the first basket for the Hoyas, and how will it be scored?
Our guess is Roy Hibbert will hit a short hook shot over David Padgett. What’s your guess?

The fans have been great at Verizon Center, which usually is good news from the home team, but there is one problem created by so many Hoya fans at the games. Nearly everybody goes to the concession stands at halftime, which makes the lines really long. If you go to get refreshments there’s no way you’ll be able to catch Groove Theory’s latest routine, and what’s worse is that you might miss the start of the second half.
