Georgetown:
The Hoyas needed a road win, and they got it. Things started looking bad for the Boys in Blue when Providence took a six point lead early in the second half. But the Hoyas hung tough and methodically pulled away, led by their sharp shooting and their defense. It is especially good to see Georgetown hitting from downtown, as we know what can happen when the shots don’t fall.

Dream Girl
By TonyDoris Burke is a superstar. In an era of loud, abusive, obnoxious commentators, she is easily among the elite basketball broadcasters anywhere on the planet. Doris provided the color commentary for the Georgetown – Providence game on Monday, working along side Sean McDonough. Before I start to say why Doris is so good at her job, let me begin with the most obvious reason. She was a star guard at Providence, but she wasn’t a homer for the Friars against the Hoyas. We all know how many announcers there are on television that went to Syracuse, and even the best ones are pretty bad at disguising their desire for the Orange to win. But there is a lot more to Doris Burke than just her impartiality.
