A Month Later

Last time we focused on the freshmen, they had just played their first game and were not particularly impressive. What a difference a month makes. In the seventh game of the season, the freshmen duo of Austin Freeman and Chris Wright put on a show for the 8,000+ at the Verizon Center, leading the Hoyas to a 87-55 thrashing of Jacksonville.

Johnny’s Old Dominion Postgame Thoughts

The Hoyas had a great game last night, showing why they are the #5 team in the country by playing with poise and simply executing, particularly in the second half.

The main thing that stuck out for me, though, was the team’s passing. Georgetown made several crisp passes that demanded that the players knew where each other were going to be. This not only shows that the Hoyas are getting more comfortable with the offense, but they are also getting more comfortable with each other.

This past Saturday was the first opportunity for us fans to see the newest Hoyas in uniform. Due to circumstances, be it ineligibility or the game situation, we only go to see two of the freshman on the floor. Let’s see how they fared.
