There are no good losses. Period. There is no way that the Pittsburgh game will help the Hoyas down the road. It might not matter down the road, but it won’t help. Here’s another thing that won’t help - shooting 3 for 20 from three-point range.

Georgetown:
No one shot the ball well from distance, as the Hoyas finished the game 3-20 from beyond the arc. Georgetown was also sloppy on the defensive end, getting badly outrebounded and giving up a number of easy baskets and uncontested threes. They will have to work to clean that up before facing the Notre Dame tandem of big man Luke Harangody and shooter Kyle McAlarney.

The Georgetown Hoyas lost their first conference game today, falling at Pittsburgh 69-60. Georgetown had a terrible shooting night from long-range, making only three 3-point shots out of 20 attempts. The Hoyas struggled in the first half to find any offensive rhythm and trailed for most of the first period. Pittsburgh led by one in the final seconds of the first half before Jonathan Wallace made a 45-foot shot at the buzzer to cut the lead to one at the half.

Hey everybody, Johnny here. We’re about half an hour away from the second game in three days for the Hoyas, and you should expect another tough Big East battle. Fatigue may be an issue for the Hoyas, as the starters played a lot of minutes on Tuesday and may be called upon again to do so tonight.
Stay with us here, and keep your in-game thoughts coming in the comments.

Before the Connecticut game, we asked everybody how many points Roy would put up against the Huskies. DJ said that he would score 22 points, and that we’d get to see a “big game from the big man on the big stage of the big east.” Well Roy certainly put on a show, scoring 20 points - his highest point total since the season opener against William and Mary. So congratulations to our resident sage, DJ.
It’s a quick turnaround for the Blue and Gray, who play tonight at Pittsburgh. That’s only one day of rest between two big games, and when you throw in traveling time, the Hoyas are going to be pretty tired come Tuesday. Seeing that the starters played 158 minutes on Saturday, we wondered how much rest those players would get tonight. So here’s our question for tonight:
Who will log the most minutes for the Hoyas, and how long will he play?
We’re gonna go with Austin Freeman, since he’s been playing a lot lately. And we’ll say he’ll play 33 minutes against the Panthers. What do you think?
