Johnny’s Fordham Postgame Thoughts

By Johnny

Teams

Georgetown:
The Hoyas came out strong and decided this game after just eight minutes. This was the kind of start that Georgetown would love to see every game: high pressure defense leading to fast breaks, and hitting long distance shots when open. When the Hoyas start off firing on all cylinders, they’re tough to beat.

Fordham In-Game Thread

By Johnny

Hey everybody, Johnny here at the Verizon Center. We’re still about 11 hours from 2008, but we’re only one hour away from the last Hoyas game of the year. The teams are warming up right now, and one thing of note: Nikita Mescheriakov is dressed and ready to play after his ten game suspension. He’s warming up with the rest of the guys, and be sure to look out for him if the Hoyas start to get a comfortable lead.

I’ll check back in with the starting lineups in a few.

Big Weekend

By Hoya Hoops

Before the Memphis game, we asked what the total points would be between the two teams. We guessed 153 and the Hoyas and Tigers combined for 156. Unfortunately, Georgetown didn’t have more than half of those points though. So we won that contest, but the Hoyas lost the game. Let’s see if you guys can beat us in the predictions, and the Hoyas can beat their foes this weekend.

Since Georgetown is taking on two teams this weekend (yes, we’re counting Monday as a part of the weekend), we’ve decided to combine the predictions this time, and just ask one question:

Which player will score the most points against American and Fordham and what will his point total be?

Now we mean combined points here, so we only want one player. We’re gonna go with Roy with 43 because after the Memphis game, he made some comments about being more aggressive from now on.

What do you think?
